Application information
PLYBK
The application name is PLYBK. This page explains the purpose of PLYBK, its features, and how PLYBK uses Google user data when a YouTube account is connected.
Purpose of the PLYBK application
PLYBK is an internal operations and social analytics application used by Baller League teams. The purpose of PLYBK is to help authorized users manage social content, understand performance across platforms, and run day-to-day content operations for Baller League workspaces.
PLYBK is not a consumer social network. It is a private workspace tool for Baller League staff and authorized partners.
Features of PLYBK
Authorized users can use PLYBK to:
- Connect authorized Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube brand accounts
- Sync published videos and posts into a shared content library
- View performance metrics such as views, likes, comments, shares, and related engagement data
- Review YouTube channel and video analytics for internal reporting
- Organize content by workspace/region and support planning and reporting workflows
Why PLYBK requests Google user data
PLYBK requests Google / YouTube authorization so that an authorized Baller League user can connect a YouTube channel they control. Without this access, PLYBK cannot import that channel's videos or analytics into the workspace.
PLYBK only requests this access to operate YouTube features inside PLYBK for the connected account. PLYBK does not use Google user data to sell ads, build unrelated consumer profiles, or provide data to unrelated third-party products.
How PLYBK uses Google / YouTube user data
When you connect YouTube through Google OAuth, PLYBK uses the granted access to:
- Identify the authorized Google / YouTube account and channel (including basic profile information needed to label the connected account in PLYBK)
- Read the channel's video list and video metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publish times, and permalinks)
- Read YouTube performance and analytics metrics for those videos and the channel so Baller League teams can report on views and engagement
- Store connection tokens securely so PLYBK can refresh synced content and metrics for that authorized channel over time
- Display the synced YouTube content and metrics inside the PLYBK content library and analytics views for authorized workspace users
PLYBK uses Google API services to obtain this data only for the YouTube accounts a user explicitly connects. Users can disconnect a YouTube account in PLYBK Settings, which stops further sync for that account.
Google API scopes used by PLYBK
Depending on the connection flow, PLYBK may request these Google scopes to power the features above:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics-monetary.readonly
